History
Northgate Crossing Municipal Utility District 2, a political subdivision of the State of Texas, created in 1985 by the 69th Texas Legislature, House Bill 2407, Regular Session and signed by the Texas Governor on June 14, 1985. The District operates pursuant to Chapters 49 and 54 of the Texas Water Code, as amended. The District consists of approximately 467 acres of land.
Approximately 290 acres within the District have been developed as 1,212 single-family residential lots, approximately 41 acres have been developed for commercial improvements, and approximately 17 acres have been developed for parks. The remaining approximately 139 acres is comprised of undeveloped acreage, streets, school sites, recreation centers, landscape, open space, drainage, easements and District facilities. As of September 24, 2020, there were 1,198 active water connections within the District and 22 commercial connections within the commercial reserves located within the District fronting on Interstate Highway 45 and Hardy Toll Road. All developable acres in the District have been fully provided with water distribution, wastewater collection or storm drainage facilities to their boundaries. The commercial properties in the District are as follows: Service King Collision Spring, Sunbelt Rentals, Moon Valley Nurseries, Spring Carpets, Armstrong McCall Beauty Supply, Northside Imports Houston, Terry Vaugh RVs – Spring, Public Storage, and Allstate Insurance.
